How to Start a Rumour

How to Start a Rumour

In 1993, Tom Luscombe was the photographer for a Sydney Queer newspaper, Capital Q.

He documented the vibrant and decadent nightlife on the ‘Golden Mile’, Oxford Street.

Thirty years later, he published many of these images in his book, Folly of Gossip.

Tom’s book is his love letter to those far off days, that last feverish, glittering, hysterical dance before our lives changed forever.

Join Tom at the Substation for ‘How to Start a Rumour’, where he will dish the dirt, pull back the curtain and grant you access all areas, in a candid and poignant jaunt down memory lane.
