Little Squirt
Queer twenty-something musical comedian Darby James clicks on an IVF clinic Facebook ad in the final COVID lockdown in Melbourne.
This event has passed.
He fills out the form, wanting to know more about his fertility and the pathways to help couples trying to conceive. Little does he know, he’ll embark on an uproarious and thought-provoking voyage through the donation process.
Winner of Best Cabaret and the Edinburgh Touring Award at Melbourne Fringe 2023, and three Green Room Association Awards for Outstanding Writing, Production and Direction, LITTLE SQUIRT follows Darby on an unforgettable journey through genetic questionnaires, medical screenings, and psychological evaluations as he navigates the choppy waters of queer identity and confronts the ethical dilemmas of reproduction. Featuring original songs, Darby immerses the audience in a world of cheeky introspective mayhem and asks the age-old question: should we be having children?
Winner of Best Cabaret and the Edinburgh Touring Award at Melbourne Fringe 2023, and three Green Room Awards 2024 for Outstanding Production, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Direction, Little Squirt has captured the hearts of audiences and critics alike, and is a theatrical experience not to be missed.
