Playwave is looking for young creatives, 15-24 years

Playwave is a new initiative created by Shopfront Arts Co-op and the City of Sydney, with a mission to connect teenagers with the best of Sydney’s arts and culture. Playwave members gain access to an exciting mix of theatre, dance, music, film, opera, literature, comedy and visual art with discounted tickets and VIP events, creating connections between its members and the Arts, through immersive online and curated in real life experiences.

And what’s more, Playwave are on the lookout for Young People to share their Playwave stories as part of Playwave Creative – a dedicated team of Playwave members turned Playwave Creatives. The team will gain exclusive access to performances, performers, artists and directors as official Playwave reviewers. Playwave Creatives will also be invited to the launch of Sydney Festival, and snag a spot as one of our on-the-ground reviewers for Sydney Festival shows. Whether you are a creator, a writer, designer, an over-sharer or storyteller, or you just love to toss a good meme; we want to hear your Playwave story, and so does everyone else. Playwave Creative is open to 15-19 year olds with a passion for creative storytelling and a dream of connecting with art, artists and the Arts industry. Playwave is art. But different.

To apply for Playwave Creative, follow these steps:

1) Become a Playwave member

2) Tell us about why you would make a great Playwave Creative (in 250 words or less)

3) Share a sample of your work (it could be anything, in any form, but it must be original)
