It’s a guide dog gallery take-over as we hand over the lead to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. Our foyer will play host to several Guide Dogs-in-training as visitors are invited to learn about Guide Dog etiquette, meet trainers and the highly-skilled dogs themselves.
The MCA is a Guide Dog friendly space all year round and this is your opportunity to see two live demonstrations by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. Showcasing their techniques, you’ll see Guide Dogs in training as they’re put through their paces, even bypassing tasty treats!
Guide dogs and representatives from Guide Dog NSW/ACT will be in the foyer between 2–3pm for a meet and greet style conversation, while Guide Dogs NSW/ACT training demonstrations will be repeated at 2.15pm and 2.45pm.
This event is part of the Art is for Everyone weekend, a free two-day celebration of access and inclusion, and is presented in partnership with the The Big Anxiety, Australia’s largest mental health event.
Preseted in partnership with Guide Dogs NSW/ACT at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia
