Last Leaf
Danish String Quartet’s “Last Leaf”, arranged for MSO Quintet by Michelle Wood, is the second album by the Nordic ensemble. Known for their incredible takes on contemporary composition and classical repertoire, “Last Leaf” is a series of Nordic folk songs, performed here by Freya (violin), Jenny (violin), Chris (viola), Michelle (cello) and Stephen (double bass).
Beethoven Septet
Having broken new ground, Beethoven was able to capture the essence of a full orchestra but on a smaller scale with this piece for a single clarinet, horn and bassoon, violin, viola, cello and double bass.
Eumeralla, a war requiem for peace
Written and composed by the acclaimed Deborah Cheetham AO, and sung entirely in the ancient dialects of the Gunditjmara people.
