The Pecking Order
Just because you’re older doesn’t mean you get to tell us what to do!
The leader has been toppled. The people are confused. What happens now? Who’s going to hand out the goods? What’s the fairest way to pick? And why does everything always have to be fair?
A new work about leadership and democracy by Shopfront’s Junior Ensemble, The Pecking Order puts young voices centre stage. Written by Mark Rogers and directed by Kevin Ng, this playful show reflects the unstable times we’re in and asks us
what the world is going to be like when these extraordinary 7-14 year olds inevitably run it.
